76th Season Opens 10/11/08
THE YSO'S 76th SEASON OPENS ON 10/11 WITH "SPICY CLASSICS" AND GUEST ARTIST PIANIST ANNE-MARIE MCDERMOTT The York Symphony's 76th season opens on October 11, 2008 at 8PM at the Strand-Capitol.
"Spicy Classics" is a concert sure to please everyone. It opens with Rodger's "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue." Then, guest pianist Anne-Marie McDermott joins the YSO for Gershwin's "Piano Concerto in F."
You will also hear music from Weill's "Threepenny Opera," Mihaud's Finale from "The Creation of the World" and Hindemith's "Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes of Carl Maria Von Weber." For tickets and information, call the Strand Box Office at (717) 846-1111.
