Endowment Funds
Contributions to an endowment fund is one way our YSO supporters can ensure that our orchestra continues to provide live symphonic music to the York community for years to come. We have created our legacy society, The Encore! Society, to provide such a facility. Funds contributed to our endowment funds stay in the fund and the interest/investment income derived from the principal is used to pay expenses each year.
Giving through gifts of cash, appreciated securities, life insurance policies, real and personal property, collections and retirement accounts are specific assets you may use to fund a gift to the YSO's endowment funds. Giving later,through bequests provides a legacy for you and your family forever and are the lifeblood of our endowment initiatives. By endowing your annual gift or creating a named fund in honor or memory of a loved one, your gift will ensure that the YSO continues to perform.
Endowment contributions can be made directly to the York Symphony Endowment Fund or through the York Symphony's Heritage Fund at the York County Community Foundation. To join our Encore! Society, please call the YSO Office at 717-812-0717.
