Saturday Morning Symphony - The Composer is Dead
Saturday, March 3, 2012 10:00 AM
Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center

Bach-Dead. Mozart-Dead. Beethoven-Really Dead. Join the YSO, Dreamwrights and Greater York Dance for "The Composer is Dead," by Nathaniel Stookey with text by Lemony Snicket, a perplexing murder mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The performace also includes Benjamin Britten’s beloved orchestra showpiece, The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra where you’ll meet the virtuosic musicians and sections of the York Symphony Orchestra.

This concert is a wonderful way to introduce young children to classical music and the different instruments in the orchestra.
The program will be open seating and all tickets will be $8.
After the concert, youngsters will be able to take part in an "Instrument Petting Zoo," handling musical instruments provided by Menchey Music Service, Inc.
