Welcome to the York Symphony Orchestra’s 2018-19 Season: Heroes! Our four-concert Pops Series will be very heroic. We open with Heroes & Superheroes, highlighting the music of Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman, and more. Our annual Holiday Pops Spectacular will also have Greater York Dance performing selections from The Nutcracker. In February, we pay tribute to a recently fallen hero of popular music David Bowie. We conclude with Sports Orchestrated; From Rocky & Chariots of Fire to the Olympic Games…the greatest sports music ever!
